Qualia is a luxury resort owned by Robert and Sandy Oatley who also purchased Hamilton Island, a small island located at Greet Barrier Reef and also part of Whitsunday Islands.
Qualia is uniquely located at Northern tip of Hamilton Island, and consisted of 33 Leeward Pavilions, 26 Windward Pavilions and two-bedroom Beach House which offers swimming pool and guest quarters. Qualia has been listed in Conde Nast Traveler 2008 Hot List, as well as numerous local media, including Australian Gourmet Traveller, The Australian Financial Review, The Australian Wish Magazine, and Sydney Morning Herald.
Dining will be served by Chef Stephane Rio at the Long Pavilion and in the more casual Pebble Beach Restaurant. Resort activities ranging from spa, pools, gym and library. Nearby activities include kayaking, swimming, and snorkeling. By 2009, the Oatleys planned to add golf course on nearby island as well as expand marina and yacht club on Hamilton. Rates started from $ 1240- $2655 .
