Perivolas is located at village of Oia on the Aegean island of Santorini, a 35-minute flight from Athens. The 18 studios hotel was reviewed twice by Conde Nast Traveler, first in June 2001 edition and second, in November 2002 edition. Perivolas also listed in, “1000 Places to See Before You Die” by author Patricia Schultz.

Perivolas occupies the remains of a 300-year-old complex of cave where fisherman and farmers used to live. After being abandoned due to earthquake in 1956, Perivolas owner Costis Psychas began to develop his resorts starting in 1970s.

Perivolas started its operation in 1981, with four guest units. Today, it has expanded to 18 suites ranging from studios, junior suites and superior suites. The two Perivolas suites have steam baths and indoor/outdoor pools. Dining options consists of Mediterranean cuisine, such as lamb with Greek yogurt, nuts and honey, and salads that include figs and other produce grown on the hotel’s own terrace and served by resort’s restaurant.

Perivolas rooms enjoy private stone terrace which guest can experience Oia’s dazzling sunset view. Resort’s activities include scuba and sailing, shopping in the village of Fira and visit glittering pools in Firostefani. The resort is closed between November to March and rates are ranging from $625 to $2500 per night
