Melody Key is a picturesque island located in Florida in the USA owned by Nick Hexum. It’s situated about 25 miles from Key West or Marathon and encompasses 5.5 acres of lush greenery. It was initially called Money Key on account of its association to pirate loot. The name was changed in 2005 to Melody Key to give it a more romantic feel.

There is only a single villa on Melody Key and that is a three story modern deluxe home. This house was constructed in 1995 and is the most spacious home on any island in the Florida Keys. It is spread over 5000 square feet and boasts of a roomy foyer, 5 bedrooms, adjoining bathrooms, a dining room, multiple verandas and a well-stocked kitchen. The house is fully air-conditioned and fitted with every comfort like a TV, VCR, music system, internet connectivity, telephone, dishwasher, stereo etc. The third floor is host to an aquarium and a bar. The most distinguishing feature of the house is the breath-taking 360 degree view of the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico.

Worthwhile activities in Melody Key include fishing, boating, diving and snorkeling. The house is extremely self-sufficient but if you like you can avail of other facilities like grocery shopping, maid and massage services and even chef assistance. If you require anything there is a caretaker on a neighboring island 5 minutes away from Melody Key who is available 24 hours a day and will come to your aid if you make a phone call.

The maximum number of people permitted at Melody Key is 6. Children below the age of 16 are not permitted and those under 21 are welcome only if accompanied by their parents. The rates differ from $ 7800 USD to $ 8500 per week for 2 persons. Any additional guest above these two is charged an extra $400 per person a week.
