All about the Piazza Campidoglio
Piazza Campidoglio is famously known as Capitoline Hill which is one of the hills of Rome. This hill is the smallest amongst the seven and the most important one with respect to religious beliefs, and was the political centre too. It is a nice place to visit if you are interested in old monuments and buildings. The Romans had built several magnificent temples on this hill. The most well-known temples at Campidoglio are the Temple of Virtus, Temple of Juno Moneta and Temple of Jupiter. There are several other beautiful temples too.
What many tourists visit this place to see is the great works of Michelangelo. He has designed some of the great works which are still to be believed as the best in Rome. His designed works are a treat to watch. Campidoglio has many historic sites which you can visit; each having some special beauty of its own.
